Brokers Direct

This policy provides cover for property that is rented to employed professionals, students, people in receipt of housing benefit, and asylum seekers. With landlords buildings and contents insurance, all standard risks are covered, plus you get £5 million of landlords liability cover. Loss of rent and alternative accommodation costs are also included should your property become uninhabitable after any damage. The policy also allows you to have the property vacant for 90 days between lets.

What Does This Policy Cover?

This policy carries a £100 excess on all claims and £1,000 excess on claims for damage by subsidence, landslip or heave.

Standard risks covered for buildings and contents insurance plus damage to landlord's property as a result of:

• Theft or attempted theft following violent and forcible entry.
• Escape of water from tanks and pipes.
• Storms and floods.
• Impact, collision, aircraft.
• Escape of oil and smoke damage.
• Riot, violent disorder or civil commotion.
• Subsidence, landslip or heave.
• Falling trees, telegraph poles & lamp posts.
• Fire, lightning, explosion or earthquake.
• Falling radio or TV aerials*
